Scoring Guidelines: Stringer will be the total length of 3 fish- 1 Spotted Seatrout, 1 Flounder, 1 Redfish (May not exceed 28”). The longest combined length of all 3 fish will determine the winner.

RULES:

2. Stringer will be the total length of 3 fish- 1 Trout, 1 Flounder, 1 Redfish (May not exceed 28”). The longest combined length of all 3 fish will determine the winner

Catch-Photo-Release (CPR) format utilizing the iAngler app. Measuring devices MUST have a 90 degree lip for the fish’s nose to touch and have legible indication marks. Good examples of measuring devices are such: Hawg Trough, Ketch Boards, Yak Gear Fish Stik, and Check-It Stik. The tops of coolers, stickers, or measuring devices built into your boat will not be accepted! MEASURING DEVICES MUST BE NEATLY MARKED AND/OR CLEARLY VISIBLE WHEN SUBMITTING PHOTO.

3. Overall winner will be determined by longest aggregate total length of the fish submitted.

4. Scoring is based on total lengths and will be rounded down to the nearest 1⁄4”.

5. Fishing Times on each day will be as follows: 7:00am - 3:00pm....You may launch your vessel at 6:30am but NO lines may enter the water before 7:00am on tournament day. Lines out @ 3:00pm & all photos submitted by 3:30pm

6. Catch-Photo-Release Scoring Criteria: All fish must be facing left with belly towards the angler with dorsal fin facing up. Measuring boards may not be altered in any way and lines must be clearly and neatly marked. The entire identifier code shall be present in all photos NO EXCEPTIONS. Nose of the fish must be clearly pressed against the bump when capturing photos. To receive a maximum score of 28”, the tail must not go beyond the 28” mark on the measuring device.

Anything short of 28” line will be rounded down to the nearest 1⁄4” as shown in Item #5 above. Top of tail fin MUST be on the MEASURING BOARD NUMBERS. Anglers may ‘pinch’ the tail ONLY to reach maximum length, but the entire tail (top & bottom fin) INCLUDING the spots on fish must be fully visible while taking photo. ANGLERS MAY ONLY PLACE THEIR HANDS IN THE APPROVED AREAS WHEN TAKING THEIR PHOTOS. APPROVED AREAS EXTEND FROM THE GILL PLATE TO ANAL FIN ONLY. (SEE RULE 34 BELOW) THE ENTIRE FISH MUST BE IN PHOTO WITH THE ‘BUMP’ PORTION OF THE MEASURING DEVICE COMPLETELY VISIBLE ALONG WITH ENTIRE IDENTIFIER CODE. THE NUMBERS ON MEASURING DEVICE MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE AS WELL. HANDS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED ON THE TAIL. The tail must be on the numbers as shown on your measuring device. 7. All decisions of Tournament Director pertaining to this event are final. In the event of a dispute, Tournament liability shall be limited to the return of entry fees paid only.

8. Overall tourney tie-breaker will be the longest Flounder length. Trout length will then be used if still tied. If still tied, then the first fish submitted will win.

9. Species of fish: Redfish must be between 20"-28”. Trout and Flounder minimum 15”.

10. SABINE AND GALVESTON BAY WATERS ONLY. Anglers can fish any publicly accessible waters in Sabine and Galveston Bay but must launch from an area accessible to the general public IN TEXAS. No private launches and MUST LAUNCH IN TEXAS.

11. Boundaries are Texas waters from Sabine Lake to Galveston Bay. All anglers may launch and fish Texas waters. If an angler receives a legal citation for any reason, that angler will be disqualified from this event.

12. No 'mothershipping’ of kayaks will be allowed. All entrants MUST launch their own vessel. Wading will be permitted but anglers must remain within 100 yards of their vessel. If an angler chooses to wade out, they must wear their PFD at all times (See other PFD rules below).

13. Texas waters only are allowed. All state, federal, and Texas Parks & Wildlife Regulations shall always apply. Tournament fishing is limited to public waters.

14. Artificial, dead and alive bait will be allowed. All fish shall be taken by rod & reel only, or a pole and line, and during tournament hours only. Only (1ea) rod and reel may be used at a time per angler. Trolling as a method of fishing will be allowed.

15. U.S. Coast Guard Approved PFD's shall be worn as follows: PFD’s MUST be worn at all times while on the water during Tournament hours by kayakers. PFD’s must be worn while big motor is running and in gear.

16. In the event of an emergency, competitors should call 911 first and then notify the Tournament Director.

17. There shall be NO consumption of alcoholic beverages while during tournament hours while competing.

18. Angler MUST be present at “weigh-in” to accept tournament prizes. Weigh-in will be located at Stingaree’s Marina from 3pm – 5pm. If angler is not present at weigh-in, he or she shall forfeit their winnings. No fish shall be brought to “weigh-in” as all fish for tournament will be Catch/Photo/Release and submitted through iAngler app.

19.Tournament anglers will be subject to a Polygraph Examination(lie detector test). If deemed necessary, no payouts will be awarded until the polygraph has been completed and passed.

20. All protests MUST be submitted in writing, email, or text to tournament director along with $100 (submitted via PayPal) before the 4:00pm deadline for that day of competition. The protest will be heard, and a decision made by Tournament Directors AFTER the scales close on the respective day. If the protest is upheld, the money ($100) will be refunded, otherwise it will be entered into Tournament proceeds.

21. All participants are expected to remain courteous and respectful when entering fishing areas of other anglers. No fishing will be allowed within 50 yards of another angler. If an angler is waved in by another, then ANY tournament participant will be allowed to access and fish the same waters.

22. The tournament committee reserves the right to postpone and/or cancel this event at any time, if there is a safety concern. Once the tournament starts, it will constitute a tournament. All attempts will be made to reschedule should it be canceled. Tournament Director(s) retain the right to refuse entry to any registered participant.

23. CCA Golden Triangle Chapter, CCA Texas, CCA, Tournament Sponsors, Hosts, Entrants, and/or Volunteers are not liable for any accidents, loss or injuries. All anglers fish at their own risk.

24. LOCATION SERVICES: Location services on your device MUST be turned on when taking your pictures. REMINDER: All photos are submitted through the iAngler website or app. YOU MUST USE THE ‘SUBMIT CATCH’ BUTTON ON THE APP OR WEBSITE TO SUBMIT YOUR CATCH.

25. All pictures must include the fish laid on measuring device facing left with nose completely against the ‘bump’ of measuring board with belly towards the angler & dorsal fin up along with the entire identifier code present. As stated above, the top tail fin MUST be on the numbers of measuring board for maximum length. The identifier can be handwritten on a piece of paper (recommend putting inside a ziplock bag) or can be written on your hand if need be but needs to be legible. Identifier can be laid on top of fish, at the end of the measuring board, on the kayak somewhere visible.

26. Scoring Deductions can/will be as follows:
- Fish is not against the ‘bump’ of measuring device will result in either a 1” length deduction OR disqualification of photo depending on placement of fish
- 1” deduction if hand is under the gill plate of fish
- 1” deduction if tail is raised off the measuring board

27. THE FOLLOWING WILL RESULT IN PHOTO BEING DQ’D (DISQUALIFIED):
- Picture will be DQ’d if identifier is not completely visible and legible
- Location Services is not on when submitting photo
- Measuring device is not legible and length cannot be determined
- Tail of fish is not on the measuring board and/or tail of fish is covered by hand

(RULES0 25 & 26 ARE NOT MEANT TO BE ALL INCLUSIVE – WE WILL TRY TO WORK WITH ALL ANGLERS TO SCORE EACH AND EVERY FISH ACCORDINGLY)

RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE

For good and valuable consideration, including without limitation the acceptance of the undersigned's entry or participation in the CCA Brazoria County Fishing Tournament (the "Event") and being permitted to participate in certain related activities, the undersigned, for herself and her personal representatives, heirs, guest, invitees, employees, and team or crew members hereby

(1) RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES, AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Stingaree’s Marina and Coastal Conservation Association or its Chapters, subsidiaries, related entities, respective members, volunteers, heirs, successors, assigns, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors and subcontractors (collectively, the "Releasees") from any and all liability to the undersigned, her personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin, and for all loss or damage, and all claims or damages therefore, on account of bodily injury, personal injury, death, property or other damage of or to the undersigned, her guests, invitees, employees, team or crew, during the Event or arising out of or in any way in connection with the Event or its Rules or related activities or while the undersigned is competing, or participating, regardless of whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or alleged negligence of Releasees ;

(2) AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS Releasees and each of them from and against all claims, actions, causes of action, damages, liabilities, losses and judgments (collectively, the "Claims") of or by all guests, invitees, employees, and team or crew of the undersigned for bodily injury, personal injury, death, property or other damage which they may suffer or incur during the Event or arising out of or in any way in connection with the Event or its Rules or related activities, regardless of whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or alleged negligence of Releasees; and,

(3) ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the risk or occurrence of bodily injury, personal injury, death, property or other damage of or to herself, her guests, invitees, employees, and team or crew and to her boat and equipment due to negligence of Releasees or otherwise during the Event or while participating in the Event or related activities or while in or on the Event premises, which includes but is not limited to, its common properties, recreational areas, and adjacent docks, piers, and boat slips. Participant further assumes the responsibility for and acknowledges all dangers associated with weather and sea conditions;

(4) Anyone entering this Tournament is required to abide by the Tournament Rules. Disqualifications will be determined by a three member Tournament Committee consisting of the Tournament Director, Co-Chair and CCA Texas Representative. Any protest must state the rule violated and be received by the Tournament Director within 15 minutes following the winners being posted. All team participants, including team members, guides and boat drivers are responsible for knowing, understanding, and abiding by these Rules. Failure of any team participant to follow tournament rules or procedures will result in disqualification of the team in violation or non-compliance.

Questions and comments concerning any Rule may be directed to the Tournament Director/Co-Chair. In all Tournament matters, the decisions of the tournament committee are final.

The undersigned agrees to pay all of the Releases’ costs of defending all Claims and further agrees that this Release, Hold Harmless and Agreement Not to Sue is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Texas and that, if any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

The undersigned also gives permission to use her / his name and picture in any published report or coverage of the event.

***All signatures will be accepted online through registration on iAngler by clicking accept box during the registration process. ALL PERSONS MUST AGREE TO THE RELEASE FORM OR BE SUBJECT TO TEAM DISQUALIFICATION.
