Please use the appropriate measuring device based on the size of fish you are measuring.
Approved measuring boards:
Ketch, Hawg trough, Rapala RMFR 60" Magnum Folding Ruler, Yakgear fish stick, Handlebars musky bumper board, Muskie bumper.
*if using Rapala board, please affix a sewing tape, measuring tape etc to ensure that numbers can be seen in photo. If in doubt, take photo of fishes tail on bump board. Judges may ask to see this if additional verification of length if needed. Home-made boards may be accepted provided measuring tapes are affixed at both top and bottom of board, and lines are drawn between the two at 5" increments starting at 30". These boards must be verified by judges prior to event.
Board must be kept flat during photo and measurement of fish. Judges reserve the right to deduct 1" length should it be apparent that the measuring board is not laying flat.
All Ontario and Quebec waters are eligible. Adjoining International waters are also eligible.
**Kayak must be launched from Canadian side of International waters.
Photos of fish must be left to right and show the fishes lip touching bump. Fish will be judged at the last visible increment if photo is cut-off.
Lures may not be seen in fishes mouth during measurement photo. A lure still in the fishes mouth will result in that fish being disqualified.
Lip grippers are allowed as long as they do not obstruct view of lip touching bump.
Paddling/peddling to shore to take photo is permitted as long as kayak and water are shown in photo.
Physical contact with a powerboat during catch and release of a fish is not permitted
No live bait

It is highly recommended that cold water gear is worn and a buddy system is used during the final weeks of this challenge.
