This is a CP(E)R “Catch Photo (Encourage) Release” Tournament for the members of the Mobile Bay Kayak Fishing Association.

The tournament will remain a CPR format for u members of MBKFA. Again, we cannot monitor all fisherman, it is up to the individual if they keep a fish or not. We, the AOY directors will only be monitoring to qualify a fish as legal and for scoring purposes. We will again be using the IAngler app and website for all submissions. All submitted photos will be approved or declined within 48 hours of submission. All fish should be measured and photo’d while on the kayak (maintain personal safety), using the standard fixed Hawg Trough measuring board. The fish should be facing to the left, mouth closed, resting tail and with the token clearly visible in the picture. Please ensure the lip or nose (ex. Redfish) of the fish is firmly against the flat angle of the board. Any fish with a lip grip device, which appears to prevent a proper measurement, will be disqualified. Pictures should be submitted as soon as safely possible. Token will be released January 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon.

This year a “point” system will also be introduced in determining overall winners. The winning fish in each category (determined by length) will be assigned points according to place. Each category will have 5 places awarded.

*Any category in which multiple anglers submit fish over 30”, each angler will receive 5 points. (Anglers will receive points for only one fish over 30” per category )
Cash prizes from these categories will be selected by random draw from all fish over 30”.

*Winners of MBKFA monthly Fishouts can be awarded extra points. 1st place- 2pts, 2nd place- 1pt. toward their AOY totals with a maximum of 4 extra points.
(Important: The angler must be registered for tournament prior to winning Fishout to be eligible for extra points.)
